Artist Statement:

Fire Station 28 was a three-firefighter station at the corner of Inverness and Chevy Chase Drive on the Flintridge side of La Cañada. It opened in 1928 and was closed 50 years ago in 1974 due to budget cuts. After it closed, it was sold and now it is a private residence with a commemorative gate. This gate is decorated with real fire hose nozzles, metal flames, and colorful stained glass sparks.

This is a nice biking/walking trail near descanso gardens in La Canada.

Artist Statement:

The view of the mountains and the forest is a hidden gem in La Cañada because it is so beautiful and serene, if I’m stressed, the view calms me down. This photo was taken on my balcony (near Angeles Crest) of the sunset and the silhouette of the view!
